Wembley Park cherry blossom is here! 🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

What a difference a bit of warm weather makes! 🌞 The nineteen cherry trees on Market Square are now in full blossom 🌸

You can see cherry blossom on Market Square, and outside Premier Inn and Quintain Living's Ferrum apartments on South Way. There are, of course, many more cherry blossom trees across the Wembley Park Estate, but I’ll leave you, dear reader, to discover those for yourself 🌳

We often focus on the cherry blossom -and quite rightly so- but it’s worth remembering other tree species also put on a beautiful spring display. On the Wembley Park Estate, the 11no Chanticleer Pear trees (Pyrus calleryana ‘Chanticleer’) lining the side of Market Square bloom in March, just a few weeks before the cherry blossom.

Below are just a few of the flowering species to look out for when you’re out and about in Wembley and beyond:

  • February–March: blackthorn, cherry plum

  • April–May: crab apple, hawthorn, Midland hawthorn

  • May–June: rowan, domestic apple
